But what is the advantage and disadvantage or free web hosts?
Free web hosting can be appealing to most people because of the word free. We all know that once we hear the word free it really gets deep into our bones. Let’s be honest, we are opportunistic. This might not be true to everybody but it is the truth. There are a lot of free web hosting companies that offers free web hosting with very similar or equal features to the paid service. That sounds good right? But have you ever asked your self if the free hosting service they offer is as reliable as the paid service? Well it obviously won’t match the reliability of the paid hosting. If you pay for a web hosting service, you get an excellent support and excellent uptime compared to the free service.
However, free web hosting is very helpful to the newbies. What I mean by newbies is those that are new to the information technology world. Those that are still learning and practicing their skills to become professionals in the area they choose to excel such as web design and programming.
I even once used a free hosting before when I was still learning HTML. And free hosting services are indeed very helpful to me. I learned what is really web hosting and how to upload files. That sounds funny but it is already already something for the learning dudes.
To summarize everything, free web hosting service is only good if you don’t have money to pay for the service and it would only be useful if the website you are going to host is not very important. But if you will be hosting sites to earn money or for your business and for your profession, then you will have to pay for the web hosting.
So that’s it! Quite practical right? It’s just that simple.
